About Us

Built from lived experience. Driven by the power of community

Who We Are

AlchemHer CIC is a survivor-led Social Enterprise based in Southwark, London. We are experts by lived experience who understand that leaving is only the first step. Our organisation is built to support women during the post-exit phase of abuse – the critical period where systemic support often falls away.

What we Do

We provide emotional scaffolding through 1-on-1 emotional support sessions, trauma-informed programs and community events. We bridge the gap between crisis and stability by offering consistent, long-term tools for personal growth and self-reliance.

To ensure no woman has to navigate her recovery in isolation, we provide a Virtual Village where members have 24-hour access to peer support, professionally moderated to maintain a safe environment at all times.

Our service delivery is centred on connection, combining these digital resources with regular social events and specialised programs designed to foster long-term resilience.

Why We Exist

AlchemHer was founded in 2024 to address a critical, overlooked phase of recovery. For many survivors, the most dangerous and difficult time isn’t just the moment of exit, but the eighteen months that follow. This is the “post-exit” phase; a period where crisis intervention often ends, leaving women to navigate the complexities of rebuilding a life entirely on their own.

Our founder navigated the complex journey of leaving an abusive relationship. While crisis services provided immediate safety, the period that followed revealed a “quiet crisis.”

There was no single place that offered the long-term emotional support and practical guidance needed to move forward.

How We Work

We operate a professional, referral-model. we welcome self-referrals as well as those from healthcare and statutory professionals. To maintain the highest standards of safeguarding and clinical oversight, we conduct a private screening session with every woman before they are accepted into our community. This process ensures that our support is the right fit and that our community remains a protected space for all.

Our Mission

To provide the emotional scaffolding and community connection necessary for survivors to bridge the gap between physical safety and sustained independence.
