Empowering Women After Domestic Abuse

Our Commitment to Supporting Women in POST-ABUSE

Trauma-informed support for life after abuse
At AlchemHer CIC, we support women in the post-exit phase after abuse, helping them navigate the emotional and practical challenges that follow leaving, and working with them to build confidence, clarity and a foundation of independence. Our survivor-led, peer-supported approach and empowerment-focused community programmes foster resilience and equip women with the tools needed for lasting stability and emotional freedom.
Who We Are and What We Do
AlchemHer is a Community Interest Company providing trauma-informed emotional support, and peer-community programs, supporting women as they rebuild their lives and begin shaping a stable, empowered future after leaving domestic abuse.
Safeguarding & Risk
We prioritise safeguarding and the emotional safety of every woman we support. All services follow trauma-informed practice standards and strict confidentiality guidelines.
The Gap We Solve (Post-Abuse Support)
Domestic abuse services focus primarily on:
• crisis intervention
• housing & refuge
• casework
• MARAC risk
• court support
BUT:
Women receive almost no support once they have left the abusive relationship and their “official” DA support ends.
This creates a gap in:
• emotional stability
• confidence rebuilding
• identity reconstruction
• loneliness & isolation
• adjustment to independence
• post-separation trauma
• understanding long-term recovery
• navigating life alone
• digital/emotional safety
• co-parenting challenges
• mindset + self-worth
AlchemHer CIC fills this exact gap.
We provide the support that women need after refuge, after IDVA work, after therapy waiting lists, and after formal DA intervention ends.
Our Mission
Our mission is to support women through the post-abuse recovery journey – offering safe, trauma-informed spaces, community connection, and empowerment to help them rebuild their lives with dignity and choice.
We exist to guide women through the critical post-exit stage; the period after leaving an abusive relationship when emotional instability, loneliness, fear, and trauma make returning feel like the only option.
Our goal is to create a supportive community where every woman has access to the resources, support and choice to build a life free from abuse.
